Welcome to PawFred.

We’re pet families ourselves, and everything we built, from our SOS system to our walking widget, was created with one principle in mind:

Use only the data we truly need, protect it fiercely, and never use it against our users.

This Privacy Policy explains how PawFred Inc.(“PawFred”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the PawFred app, services, website, NFC tag, or certified provider network.

We design our products with privacy by default, comply with the strongest U.S. privacy standards, and use your information only to improve safety, care, and convenience for your pet, never to sell or exploit your data.

1. Who this Policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the PawFred ecosystem, including:

  • Residents of Partner Properties who use PawFred (app + tag + SOS + certified providers)

  • Pets registered within PawFred

  • Partner Properties / Property Managers who access the PawFred Property Dashboard, CRM, or analytics

  • Certified Providers offering pet services through the PawFred Marketplace

  • Visitors and pet finders who access the “Found Pet” web experience

  • Prospective users and prospective Partner Properties who contact us or fill out referral forms

  • Anyone interacting with pawfred.com, woof.pet, or the PawFred app

2. What information we collect (and why)

We collect the minimum necessary information to operate your pet’s safety, care, and wellness services.

We never collect data just because we can.

2.1 Information you provide

  • Name and contact information

  • Your pet’s name, breed, photo, health details (e.g., vaccine dates)

  • Address and building information (to validate Partner Property access)

  • Emergency contact

  • Service requests (walkers, sitters, groomers, vets)

  • Notes, feedback, reviews

  • Payment details (processed securely via Stripe)

Why we collect it:

To allow the app, SOS support, and certified care services to function safely and accurately.

2.2 Information automatically collected

(Used only to keep your pet safe and your app functioning.)

  • App activity (feature use, in-app actions);

  • Device information;

  • Error logs;

  • Location information only in these cases:

    • When a certified service provider starts a GPS-tracked service (walk, daycare, transport);

    • When you share your location during a SOS event;

    • When someone scans your pet’s tag and voluntarily shares their device GPS location to reunite you.

We never collect background location without clear consent and purpose.

2.3 Information from Providers

Certified providers may log:

  • Service details (photos, notes);

  • Start/End timestamps;

  • GPS service routes (for walks/drives);

  • Incident reports.

This information is only used to support safety, transparency, and trust.

2.4 Partner Properties and privacy

Property managers at Partner Properties have access only to information necessary to:

  • Validate resident eligibility;

  • Monitor adoption, engagement, and aggregate NPS;

  • Manage safety and incident follow-up;

  • Fulfill their obligations under the Partner Agreement.

They never receive individual purchase data, health details, or private messages.

They are bound by confidentiality, usage limits, and can only use data within their property context.

All property manager access is logged, audited, and permission-restricted.

3. How we use your information

We use data solely to serve your pet, your community, and your PawFred experience.

We use your data to:

  • Provide SOS support and local safety alerts;

  • Send reminders (vaccines, appointments, flea prevention);

  • Deliver walking, grooming, and care services;

  • Improve pet safety via incident tracking;

  • Power recommendations and personalized experiences;

  • Offer relevant Turbo Pup Deals from verified local partners;

  • Validate building access and subscription eligibility;

  • Operate secure payments;

  • Improve the product;

  • Train AI systems to provide better care routines (Always using restricted, privacy-protective rules.)

We never:

  • Sell personal data;

  • Share user information with advertisers;

  • Allow providers to harvest or export resident data;

  • Use AI to profile sensitive information;

  • Track your pet’s real-time location without a service taking place.

Your information is used for your pet, not for marketing exploitation.

4. Our use of AI & LLMs

PawFred uses AI carefully and transparently.

4.1 What our AI does

  • Sends local safety alerts;

  • Suggests care routines and reminders;

  • Helps match your pet to local certified providers;

  • Helps verify incident risk patterns;

  • Personalizes wellness content;

  • Powers conversational support (non-legal, non-medical guidance only);

4.2 What our AI does not do

  • Make decisions about billing or eligibility;

  • Sell or share your data with AI vendors;

  • Process sensitive biometric information;

  • Access GPS data unless explicitly triggered by a service or SOS;

  • Use personal data for general AI training outside the PawFred ecosystem.

All personal data stays within PawFred’s secured environment and respected vendors under strict agreements.

5. How we store and protect data

We use industry-leading protections:

  • Encryption at rest and in transit;

  • SOC-2 compliant infrastructure;

  • Stripe-certified PCI payment handling;

  • Access controls and logging;

  • Data minimization and purpose limitation.

We delete or anonymize data when no longer needed for core functions.

6. Sharing information

We only share information with:

  1. Your building’s property manager

    • For validation;

    • To monitor engagement and NPS;

    • To ensure safety compliance.

  2. Certified providers

    • Only the information necessary for performing services;

    • No access to unrelated resident data.

  3. SOS responders

  • When an emergency is triggered

  1. Vetted vendors (e.g., Stripe)

    • For secure payment processing

  2. Government authorities ONLY when required by law

    • For public safety or legal compliance

We never share your data otherwise.

7. Your privacy rights

In line with the strongest U.S. privacy laws (Florida FDBR, CPRA, Virginia CDPA, Colorado CPA), you have the right to:

  • Access your data;

  • Delete your data;

  • Correct inaccurate data;

  • Opt out of certain data uses;

  • Request limits on data processing;

  • Obtain a portable copy of your data;

  • Appeal decisions.

8. Children’s data

PawFred is not intended for children under 16.

We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.

9. Payments and financial data

All payment information is processed through Stripe, a PCI-certified payment processor.

We never store full credit card numbers.

10. Data retention

We retain data only as long as needed to:

  • Provide services;

  • Maintain your subscription;

  • Meet legal obligations;

  • Resolve disputes

After that, we delete or anonymize the data.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy to keep up with new laws, features, or best practices. 

We will always notify users of material changes.
